The advent of XBOX Live led to a new level of Halo fanaticism. With over 1 million people logging on every day for nearly four years Halo had grown to a new level of popularity.

For the first time players were able to customize their armor with two different colors and even play as a Covenant Elite. The introduction of the Emblem system was also huge, adding to each player's online identity.
