Clip Size: 12 roundsThis stripped-down version of the M6D from the first game is lacking a scope but it makes up for it in firepower. More than 3 times more accurate, and twice as powerful as the SMG, this pistol really rocks.
Clip Size: 36 roundsThis is the default weapon for most missions and the Multiplayer section of Halo 2. The Battle Rifle fires a powerful 3-round burst, and can fire relatively fast. This weapon can kill in about 3 shots, especially to the head.
Clip Size: 60 roundsThe SMG is the default starting weapon for almost all Multiplayer matches and is one of the most common human weapons.
Clip Size: 4 AP RoundsThe Sniper Rifle is oneof the most powerful, and most useful weapons in the game. Equipped with a 5x and 10x scope, this weapon will kill with one shot to the head or two shots to the body.
Clip Size: 2 HEAT RocketsThe SPNKR (pronounced "spanker") is the pinnacle of the UNSC infantry explosive power. The new model can now also lock-on and track a target's heat signature.
Clip Size: 12 8 gauge shotgun shellsThe Shotgun is meant to be a close quarters only weapon and is relatively ineffective at medium, and completely useless at long range. However, it is almost a guaranteed instant kill at less than 4 feet.
Effective Range: 15-30 feetThe standard UNSC explosive device capable of droping an enemy's shield in one explosion. Instant kill if standing on to of the grenade at the time of explosion.
Round per Minute: 450-550The M41 is the weapon mounted on teh rear of the standard warthog and is often used as a stand-alone weapons platform.
The Gauss Cannon projects a bipolar magnetic field which is used to accelerate a 25mm projectile at hypersonic speeds.
